Jim Palumbo

Inducted 2024

(1950-2022) – A St. Louis native, Jim was a champion of creative work that helped lift the St. Louis advertising community to greater heights. As DMB&B’s Global Account Director, Jim ran U.S. and global business for Anheuser-Busch for more than two decades. During his career, he was involved with virtually all Budweiser advertising, including the “This Bud’s for You” campaign, and campaigns featuring the Clydesdales. He also championed the famous Budweiser Frogs campaign, a remarkable twist for the Budweiser brand, which won the Silver Lion award at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity, as well as becoming a pop-culture moment. After departing DMB&B, Jim was the managing director of Waylon Advertising. Under his leadership, the firm brought fresh insight to the St. Louis Cardinals advertising, including the tagline “Baseball Like it Oughta Be.” Jim worked as a marketing/communications consultant at JMP Consulting from 2011 until his death in 2022.
