The Home Press - This is the name of a highly promising journal , born at the commencement of the year 1860, and under the charge of R.V. Kennedy, T.M. Halpin, and James Peckam. It is truly a family and literary paper, and the only one that can lay claim to that appellation west of the Mississippi.
(From Edwards' Great West and a Complete History of St. Louis, 1860).
