Robert Duffy spent his 32-year at the Post-Dispatch covering the arts – classical music, sculpture, painting, opera, literature and photography. He also served as the night City Desk reporter, editorial writer and editor of the paper’s Everyday Magazine. Later he was a major force behind the establishment of The Beacon, the area’s first general news publication that was exclusively on-line. His friendship with Emily Pulitzer was instrumental in securing her underwriting for the project, which later merged with the KWMU newsroom.
