The Illustrated Journal of Agriculture was issued in 1860 as a monthly, by W.V. Wolcott and John S. Marmaduke…It went through several hands during the next few years and finally passed into the possession of Philip Chew, who consolidated it with The Weekly Missouri Farmer of Boonville. Its name was changed to The Journal of Agriculture and Farmer.
