Through most of the 1990s, the top editor at Time, Inc’s People Magazine was Landon Jones, a St. Louis native. It was the most successful magazine in U.S. publishing history. Landon’s other duties at the time included the planning and launching of four new magazines, Who Weekly, People (Australian edition), People en Espanol and In Style. Prior to his involvement with those titles, he was the head editor of Money Magazine. His articles appeared in Time, The Atlantic, The New York Times and People. He received the New York Press Club Award for his writing.
