1878-1883.
Chew, Cordell & Company, publisher. After a year Mr. Cordell (who was a farmer) retired, and for two years Chew & Harness conducted the paper, but in 1878 Mr. Chew bought Harness out, and has been the sole publisher ever since. During most of the time of Mr. Chew’s connection with the paper he has had the absolute management.
