As a journalist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Dave was inducted with his business writing colleague, Jim Gallagher. Together they did a long-running STL Today video segment, “The Bottom Line.” Along with Jim, Dave provided perceptive, even-handed coverage of St. Louis-based companies and industries, including analyses of and commentaries about a multitude of area businesses. Dave earned a degree in journalism from Drake University in 1977, adding an MSc from London’s School of Economics and Political Science in 1981. Dave has reported on and provided interpretive coverage of often complex and confusing situations faced by major St. Louis based companies. The two reporters consistently provided fresh, local perspectives about stock-market surprises, along with anticipated ups and downs and unanticipated plummeting stock.
