State’s Duty

1895.

The State’s Duty, W.H. Moore, editor, and T.P. Rixey, associate editor, a thirty-two page monthly, is devoted to advocating good roads, good government, public improvements and better social conditions. It believes that the development of internal improvements “will quiet the spirit of anarchy and social unrest” in the land. It has no purely literary articles. The first number was issued in February, 1895.
