This is a bright, well-edited, readable paper. It is managed by Sam. D. Hodgdon, trustee, a man well and favorably known in the county. The publication office is at 106 Pacific avenue, Webster Groves. The paper is Independent Republican, is the mouthpiece of the Citizens’ party, is a seven-column folio, homeprint, with 1,200 circulation. Jas. R. Bettis, an old-time St. Louis newspaper man who lives at Webster Groves, is its very special contributor.
