From KETC, Living St. Louis Producer Ruth Ezell interviews jazz broadcaster, Leo Chears about his successful career in radio. Known to listeners as “The Man in the Red Vest,” Chears spent more than 40 years on air, with the last 16 at WSIE-FM.
Severe arthritis, along with other health complications forced him to broadcast from home before passing away in 2006.
