A St. Louis native, Linda graduated from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and worked at newspapers around the Midwest, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Milwaukee Journal and the St. Paul Pioneer Press. She was, at various times, a reporter, copy editor, make-up editor, night city editor, assistant business editor, Metro Section editor, editorial writer and national-international news editor. After more than three decades of working for newspapers, she transitioned to online news, joining the start-up of St. Louis Beacon, where she was news aggregator and outreach specialist. The Beacon merged in 2013 with St. Louis Public Radio, and Linda was copy editor for the station’s website, retiring in 2019.
